18 Nov 2025 Dar es Salaam (Tanzania) The Citizen. President Samia Suluhu Hassan establishes a commission to investigate post-election violence, focusing on the causes and circumstances behind the unrest;

18 Nov 2025 Djibouti (Djibouti) Dawan Africa. Djibouti launches a national forum to attract investment and modernise its transport sector, aiming to strengthen its position as a key logistics hub in the Horn of Africa;

15 Nov 2025 Kinshasa (DRC) Al Jazeera. Representatives of the Congolese government and the Rwanda-backed M23 rebel group sign a framework peace deal in Doha (Qatar) to guide future negotiations aimed at ending the long-running conflict in eastern DRC;

15 Nov 2025 Addis Ababa (Ethiopia) Borkena. Foreign minister Gedion Timothewos meets with Swedish deputy foreign minister Dag Hartelius in Addis Ababa to discuss trade, investment, regional issues and the upcoming 80th anniversary of diplomatic relations;

15 Nov 2025 Dar es Salaam (Tanzania) The Citizen. President Samia Suluhu Hassan outlines reforms to transform the country’s mineral sector during her new five-year term, aiming to boost investment, transparency, and value addition;

United States (US)-headquartered credit rating agency S&P Global Ratings reaffirms Rwanda’s sovereign credit rating at B+/B with a stable outlook, highlighting the country’s resilient low-income economy and strong growth, projected at 7.3% annually from 2025 to 2028;

13 Nov 2025 Dar es Salaam (Tanzania) The CitizenEast African Community (EAC) launches a regional instant payment network, starting with a trial between Rwanda and Tanzania, aiming to simplify cross-border transactions, lower transfer costs and promote financial inclusion within the bloc;
