2 Dec 2025 Bujumbura (Burundi) The East African. United States invites several African leaders to witness the signing of the peace and economic agreement between the Democratic Republic of the Congo and Rwanda, including President Évariste Ndayishimiye, Kenya’s President William Ruto and Tanzania’s President Samia Suluhu Hassan;

2 Dec 2025 Kinshasa (DRC) Times Live. The army and M23 rebels trade accusations of ceasefire violations despite the pending peace agreement set to be signed between DRC and Rwanda on 4 December;

2 Dec 2025 Nairobi (Kenya) The Standard. Government bans 400 overseas job recruitment agencies implicated in scamming Kenyans or sending them to non-existent jobs abroad;

2 Dec 2025 Dar es Salaam (Tanzania) Tanzania Invest. President Samia Suluhu Hassan addresses the nation, defending how security forces handled the post-election protests, claiming her 97% victory in the election reflects the will of the people, and criticising the European Union’s parliamentary vote to suspend aid to Tanzania;

1 Dec 2025 Washington (United States) Al Jazeera. White House announces that US President Donald Trump will host Democratic Republic of the Congo’s President Felix Tshisekedi and Rwanda’s President Paul Kagame to sign a peace and economic agreement the US brokered;

30 Nov 2025 Asmara (Eritrea) Middle East Monitor. President Isaias Afwerki meets with Sudanese Sovereignty Council chief Abdel Fattah al-Burhan to discuss strengthening bilateral relations and enhance political and security coordination;

29 Nov 2025 Djibouti (Djibouti) Dawan Africa. Djibouti hosts a national coordination meeting on maritime security under the European Union–funded Regional Programme on Maritime Security in the Red Sea Area, bringing together senior officials from national institutions and international partners;

29 Nov 2025 Kampala (Uganda) New Vision. A tour and travel delegation from Mauritius concludes a ten-day visit to Uganda aimed at strengthening bilateral tourism cooperation and expanding commercial visibility;

28 Nov 2025 Kigali (Rwanda) Anadolu Agency. President Paul Kagame says he is optimistic about the signing of the United States-brokered peace and economic agreement aimed at ending conflict in eastern Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC);
27 Nov 2025 Dar es Salaam (Tanzania) The Citizen. European Union (EU) adopts a resolution suspending €156m ($177m) in aid funding intended for Tanzania in 2026, citing concerns over repression and human rights violations;

26 Nov 2025 Kinshasa (DRC) Al Jazeera. United States (US)-based advocacy group International Rights Advocates files a lawsuit against US-headquartered Apple, accusing it of using minerals linked to conflict and human rights abuses in DRC and Rwanda;

26 Nov 2025 Nairobi (Kenya) Daily Nation. Trade minister Lee Kinyanjui says Kenya will appeal the East African Court of Justice ruling that suspended the implementation of a trade deal between the European Union (EU) and Kenya;

25 Nov 2025 Nairobi (Kenya) Daily Nation. East Africa is on track to become a major steel exporter following the launch of the Devki Mega Steel Project in Tororo (Uganda) inaugurated by President William Ruto and Uganda’s President Yoweri Museveni;

25 Nov 2025 Dar es Salaam (Tanzania) The Citizen. The Bank of Tanzania’s (central bank) consolidated zonal economic performance report shows that Tanzania’s mineral sector is approaching $1 billion in output, driven by surges in gold and diamond production;

25 Nov 2025 Kampala (Uganda) Monitor. Preliminary data from Uganda’s Electoral Commission shows that 128 women will contest against men for direct election as Members of Parliament in the 15 January 2026 polls;
