4 Jul 2023 Victoria (Seychelles) Seychelles News Agency. The newly accredited ambassador of Germany to Seychelles, Sebastian Groth, presents his credentials to President Wavel Ramkalawan at State House;

4 Jul 2023 Victoria (Seychelles) Seychelles News Agency. Fisheries and blue economy minister Jean-Francois Ferrari notes at the launch of Seychelles’ Fisheries Information Management System (FIMS) that data is a vital component of a modern public administration system, with the FIMS aiming to improve access, availability and timeliness of fisheries information;

4 Jul 2023 Mogadishu (Somalia) ChinaOrg. The Somali government confirms that it has taken over the security responsibilities of 2,000 African Union Transition Mission in Somalia troops in some parts of the country;

4 Jul 2023 Dar es Salaam (Tanzania) The Citizen. Iran’s ambassador to Tanzania, Hussein Behineh, reports that Iran imported goods worth $35m from Tanzania in the 2021/22 fiscal year;

3 Jul 2023 Dar es Salaam (Tanzania) The CitizenAir Tanzania Company Ltd will start flying its newly acquired cargo plane on 28 July and plans to introduce cargo flights to Dubai and China, depending on demand by the business community;

30 Jun 2023 Addis Ababa (Ethiopia) Borkena. Foreign ministry spokesperson says Ethiopia has officially requested membership of the international economic group formed by Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa (BRICS);

30 Jun 2023 Dar es Salaam (Tanzania) The Citizen. Government permits upcountry passenger buses to operate for 24 hours in a bid to further stimulate the economy in the transportation sub-sector following positive changes in infrastructure and security;

29 Jun 2023 Kinshasa (DRC) La Prosperite. The second Country Risk Conference (CRP), organised by prime minister Jean-Michel Sama Lukonde, presents a platform for discussions with actors from the African economic and financial world, mainly Congolese authorities;

28 Jun 2023 Addis Ababa (Ethiopia) BorkenaWest Gondar Zone (Amhara Regional State) communications office reports that people fleeing the civil war in Sudan are crossing over Ethiopian territory and entering the Ethiopian town of Metemma-Yohannes;
